Innocent Teenage Girls Forced to "Jump Up and Down" During Marijuana Search

Following the Supreme Court's recent decision that school officials violated the 4th Amendment when they strip-searched a 13-year-old girl, another similar lawsuit has been filed and the story is equally sickening:

According to the complaint, the incident began when the bus arrived at the school and two employees boarded it in order to resolve a dispute in which the girls were not involved. The employees "smelled what they thought was marijuana," the complaint states, and five girls seated at the back of the bus, including Gaither and S.C., were detained and searched.

During an interrogation that lasted the entire school day, and after being denied repeated requests to call their parents, the girls were required to "remove their shoes and socks, unbuckle their belts, unbutton their pants, and unzip their pants," the complaint says. They also had their "waistlines physically touched and searched" by a male employee while their pants were undone, and were made to "lift up their bras while their shirts remained on and jump up and down."

The searches were all performed behind closed doors and without the presence of police offices or female staff, the suit says. No marijuana was found. [Courthouse News]

The whole thing is so perverse and disturbing, it really ought to be examined in criminal court as well as civil. By the time a group of teenage girls was ordered lift their bras and hop up and down, it wasn't just a drug search anymore. This was something much sicker than that. But you can thank decades of propaganda-fueled marijuana hysteria for creating the environment in which school officials think they can get away with stuff like this.

Drug War Issues Marijuana - Search and Seizure

jesus h. christ

what's the word i'm looking for to describe this? oh yeah, sexual assault.

Commie Feelinya

Oh, and I always wondered who the real commies were. It's definately not the people who are trying to legalize marijuana. Maybe if these girls were armed. But then again the commies will not allow civilians to protect themselves, their privacy, their rights or their property. Their big rough hands will do it for them instead. They know best.

Rid our schools of

Rid our schools of pedophilistic administrators, legalize all drugs!

"No marijuana was found"

Of course, if marijuana or ibuprofen HAD been found, these searches would have been justified and these stories would never had come to light.

According to the US Constitution, EVERY drug raid and EVERY drug search is conducted against innocent people.

School search

In this day and age the school officals should have known better. Why didn't they call the cops and let them handle these dangerous drug users. The school officals should be facing criminal charges. There is no excuse here, the officals violated the civil rights of their students.

Probably Criminal

As an ex-cop, I can assure you that if this incident had been reported to me I would definitely have taken a criminal complaint on this incident. Of course, I don't know what the DA would have done with it, but the elements of sexual abuse were certainly there.

so what

hey they had the right to search them girls and make em bounce up and down with their little boobies the imporant thing is NO MARIJUANA was found and now they know their school is safe

These employees should be fired

I think a major issue with this situation is that these girls were treated as criminals by employees of the school. The people conducting the search were not police officers and in my oppinion had no right to dealing with these kids especially in the manner that they did. You want to debate whether marijuana should be legalized or not that is fine but you cannot debate that the only people that should be searching anyone to that extent should be police officers that are trained to conduct searches like this.

ERIC

shut the hell up they did what was \right them girls lost all their rights when they got on the bus smelling like marijuana they did the proper thing i support what they did was legal so shutt the hell up u low life scum bag druggie

fuck you child molester

fuck you child molester

Its illegal for anyone to

Its illegal for anyone to search your person unless your a cop. Were they cops....no. Can I come up to you if your smoking pot on my property and legally search you? The answer is no. The police should have been called. I understand weed is illegal but Americans have rights that are supposed to protect them from this shit.

Also

Last time I checked you are innocent until proven guilty not the other way around

no its not illegal

them girls smelled like pot so there for they had the right to search them kids do not have legal rights at all so stop defending these little criminal druggies the school had every legal right to do that it was nessary for the safey of the students okay so shut up this was legal

Illegally emitting odor?

Illegal to "smell like pot". What does that smell like, anyway? Smelling like anything is a guess that someone makes with his nose. Is it illegal to smell like booze? No! You have to have proof of consumption (BAC etc) Smoking it and possession are both still illegal, as you say. But, none of these kids had any in their possession. No one saw them smoking any either! Call it legal all you want, but I hope the courts decide otherwise. I do not agree with or condone underage drinking, as well as kids smoking pot.

Let the drug dealers continue to sell at schools?! They are in control of the drugs and they love your kids' money!! Until the people wake up, the kids will be able to get drugs easier than they can buy booze or cigarettes! Something has to change!

how the fuck does weed

how the fuck does weed endanger the whole school asshole
